A post on Reddit shows what appears to be construction workers boarding Howe Avenue on Monday, leaving onlookers wondering about what happened.

“To our Sacramento community – we have been honored to welcome guests to a home away from home at our store, and we have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in so many special occasions for our guests and community for nearly six years. ” read a sign on the doors of the Howe Avenue Cracker Barrel on Tuesday. “We are deeply saddened to announce the closure of this establishment.”

Cracker Barrel is a restaurant originally from Tennessee and serves country dishes. The Howe Avenue location, which opened in 2018, was the first Cracker Barrel restaurant to open in Northern California. Now the only remaining Cracker Barrell in the area is in Rocklin.

Details about the reasons for the closure have not been revealed.
