Ryanair to resume flights to Israel in June – POLITICO

Irish airline Ryanair announced on Thursday that it would resume flights to and from Israel from June 3 following Ben Gurion International Airport’s decision to reopen a low-cost terminal.

“It is excellent news that Ben Gurion Airport is reopening Terminal 1, which has enabled Ryanair to resume our operations in Tel Aviv from Monday 3rd June, with 40 weekly flights to/from key markets such as Cyprus, Germany, Greece and Italy,” said a Ryanair spokesperson.

Most major international airlines suspended flights to Israel following the October 7 attacks by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

In December, Lufthansa Group Airlines announced plans to resume flights to Tel Aviv from January 8, initially with 20 connections per week.

Ryanair had resumed flights to Ben Gurion in February, but suspended them again the same month due to a dispute over which terminal the airline could use.
