Ryan Gosling Reveals How His Daughters Were Involved in “I’m Just Ken”

After all, 9 years Esmeralda and 7 years Amada-who Ryan shares with Eva mendes– were frequent visitors to the barbie film set.

“It was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that kind of started this whole thing,” Ryan said during an April 11 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It really was a team effort. And they were on the film and they came on set when I was filming the number.”

And by “number,” Ryan is of course talking about the movie’s heart-stopping, Oscar-nominated song “I’m Just Ken.”

“They knew they knew all the choreography better than me, the songs,” joked the 43-year-old, before imitating his daughters who were dancing to the Dance Moms. “They’re behind the scenes showing it to me.”
