Russia warns West will face ‘consequences’ of arming Ukraine — RT

Rockets and shells supplied from abroad are being used to hit schools and homes, Russian envoy to the UN Vassily Nebenzia says

Western countries whose weapons are used by Ukrainian troops to kill civilians in Donbass will face legal consequences, the Russian envoy to the United Nations has warned.

Speaking to the UN Security Council on Friday, Vassily Nebenzia said HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and M982 Excalibur guided artillery shells were being used to fire indiscriminately at Donetsk and other cities.

“For example, the sports arena in Druzhba [in Donetsk], where drinking water was distributed to civilians, was attacked on December 4 with an Excalibur shell. Ukrainian forces, emboldened by Western countries, are literally trying to level the city,” said the Russian diplomat.

According to Nebenzia, 22 civilians have been killed and more than 80 injured in Donbass since November 27, and many houses and schools have been damaged. He added that the HIMARS rockets hit civilian sites, such as kindergartens and hotels.

“We carefully record all these criminal activities of the United States and its allies. They will have real-world legal repercussions for everyone involved,” said Nebenzia.

Can all these numerous keystrokes recorded on civilian sites be errors or accidents? It is obvious that this is a conscious and deliberate participation of the United States and NATO in the crimes of the kyiv authorities.

The Pentagon on Friday announced $275 million in additional military and security aid to Ukraine, including HIMARS rockets and 80,000 155mm artillery shells.

Russia passes details of Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets to UN

Moscow has previously described deliveries of heavy and long-range weapons to Ukraine as “red lines,” warning that this could lead to a direct conflict between Russia and the West. Washington and its allies insist they are not taking part in the hostilities, but continue to send arms shipments to kyiv.
