Tusk said in March that evidence from Lithuania suggested that Russia was responsible for the attack, in accordance with suspicions in Poland, but its declaration on Sunday was not ambiguous in the responsibility of Russia.
The Lithuanian investigation revealed that an attack by criminal fire of May 9, 2024 against an IKEA store in Vilnius, as well as on May 12, 2024 Marywilska Fire, were set by Ukrainian citizens acting on behalf of Russia, Tusk wrote in March. A week earlier, Polish prosecutors said that a Belarusian refugee was responsible.
No one was injured in the fire in Warsaw.
