Moscow and Beijing also declared that nuclear states should “reject the mentality of the Cold War” and avoid seeking military superiority “to the detriment of the security of other states”.
According to the Russian news agency, 26 documents were signed at the meeting, including a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation on the support of international law.
After almost four hours of talks, XI described his meeting with his Russian counterpart as “in depth, friendly and fruitful”. Putin said the talks were “warm and substantial” and said the links between Russia and China were stronger than ever.
The flights to Moscow were disrupted Wednesday after the Ukrainian drone strikes were forced airport closings before Friday victory parade.
