In a historic moment for rugby in India, the Indian Rugby Football Union (Rugby India) and GMR Sports revealed the official logo of the first rugby premium (RPL), marking an important step towards the establishment of rugby as a leading sport in the country. This milestone announces the launch of the Rugby 7s League based on the world class franchise, which should make its debut in 2025. The league will feature six teams based on the city, presenting elite talents from the best rugby nations around the world, as well as high -level players.
The RPL logo captures the dynamic essence of rugby, representing an exciting mixture of speed, competence, strength, creativity, opportunity, teamwork, intrepidity and an unshakable attitude to never do Die – the qualities that make rugby one of the most exciting external sports in the world. The design reflects the league’s commitment to create a modern, dynamic, young, ambitious and world competitive sporting spectacle that will entertain the Indian and international public. In addition, the unique and distinctive logo is a tribute to the hard work and the resilience of the human body in the intense play of rugby.
Formerly considered a sport for the elite, rugby – played worldwide for over 150 years – has now expanded its world -scale scope. The dynamism and ethics of unity inherent in rugby form the very foundation of the Premier League of Rugby.
Mr. Rahul Bose, president of the Indian Rugby Football Union, shared his reflections on the logo, saying: “Rugby 7 is a sport of incredible speed, of dazzling competence and heroic force, and the premier of rugby will present it in a way that India has never seen before. The logo is emblematic of energy, dynamism and high octane action that the league will highlight. With the expertise of GMR Sports and the support of all stakeholders, we are ready to pass Indian rugby to the next level. »»
