- Ruben Dias offered a bizarre excuse for the defeat of Man City to Nottingham Forest
- The champions lost 1-0, not being able to move third and in front of the forest in the table
- Listen now: everything is launched! Is Alisson the best goalkeeper of the Premier League?
Ruben Dias said that the city’s ground ground was too dry during the defeat of Manchester City to Nottingham Forest.
The winner of Callum Hudson-Odoi recorded the city with a ninth first league defeat of the season during their current fight to qualify for the Champions League.
DIAS insisted that the champions had checked the game while admitting that the Pep Guardiola team did not move the ball fairly quickly – putting this in the area of the surface.
“With dry pitch, it makes things a little more difficult,” said Dias. “It was (the same) last season and in Fulham too. It also depends on everyone’s weather and goodwill to make the game fast.
Kyle Walker organized similar grievances in last year’s match, fileing a complaint with the match manager during the day, when there is no suggestion that the forest did something wrong.
DIAS called for strong leaders in the city’s locker rooms while they are heading for the last 10 games in the campaign.
Ruben Dias quoted the dry land of Nottingham Forest as the reason why Man City lost on Saturday

The defender explained that the pitch conditions made the ball move more slowly along the ground
“I felt like the team was strong,” he added. “Then, all the little extras – not conceding, doing better at times, trying to move the ball faster. All these details count.
“Obviously, when you come from a circumstance where you are used to winning and fighting for everything until the end, it’s not easy to take when things are (as they are) now.
“But it’s our challenge and right now to fight for this top four is our final of the Champions League, this is our victory for the Premier League for this season.
“Everything, competitive mentality, everything to make sure that every detail is covered. This is how you no doubt win. This is how we won before and how we have to fight.
