We are used to seeing Roy Keane growls on our screens while he delivers his latest scouting assessment of a Premier League footballer.
But the former hard man from Man United showed his softer side while he was in the face of the fault with his new grandson on Instagram.
“My new grandson, Big Baby”, the 53-year-old man legend the photo in his usual way without frills.
It is Keane’s third grandchild, although the details are not clear on which of his five children of his wife Theresa is the parent.
The Irishman became a grandfather for the first time in 2021 and often shared sweet shots of his two senior grandchildren on social networks.
Keane’s daughter Leah is engaged to the central defender of Southampton, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who made the headlines last November when he marked in his debut in England against the Republic of Ireland.

Keane, who has the names of each of his five tattooed children on his right arm, was an expert for the cover of the ITV match and joked “ it is (the wedding) not yet done and sprinkled.
“Things can change very quickly in Keane’s house.”
The former captain of the Republic of Ireland joked, of course, and added: “In the past few months, he has definitely had a threat of goal for Southampton, that’s good for him.
“It’s great for him to make his debut. He’s a nice child, his family did an excellent job.
In February, Keane’s daughter, 29, Caragh, courageously talked about her difficult battle with Lupus, an incurable autoimmune condition.
Caragh, who was diagnosed with the state in 2021, said: “Life was over. (There was) no way out. I wouldn’t be there without them (mom and dad).
“When I was diagnosed, I cried the person I had been and the person I felt that I should have been.

Fans were quick to congratulate Keane for his announcement as a grandfather. His former club Man United commented: “JUST In Time for kick -off ❤️ ‘Referring to a quarter -final confrontation of the Europa League on Thursday with Lyon.
While Ireland’s former teammate Robbie Keane posted: “Congratulations ❤️”.
The other three children of Keane and his wife Theresa Doyle are Shannon, Aidan and Alanna.
The couple got married in His native Mayfield in Cork in 1997. They met for the first time when he played with Nottingham Forest in 1992.
