Roy Keane calls Erling Haaland a ‘FAT SPOILED’ after his furious reaction to being substituted as the Man United legend continues war of words with the City striker… before looking at the Sky presenter

  • The two men have been involved in a bitter war of words in recent weeks

Roy Keane criticized Erling Haaland for his reaction to his substitution against Wolves at the weekend before shooting a menacing look at Sky Sports presenter David Jones ahead of Liverpool’s 4-2 win over Tottenham.

The Norwegian international scored four goals, including a hat-trick in the first half, before being taken off in the second half. Haaland looked furious sitting on the bench with Pep Guardiola keen to rest him as Man City move closer to the Premier League title.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Keane reignited a war of words between himself and Haaland, saying: “We saw Haland yesterday get sent off, not too happy, (he was behaving) like a spoiled child.

“I think when you also argue with the manager and obviously your Star Man, it doesn’t help that the results aren’t going your way. But because they win the game, he scores goals, it’s almost forgotten.

Jones then asked Keane: “Spoiled brat? It doesn’t matter if you score four goals, right?

But Keane was less than enthusiastic about the presenter’s comments, responding flatly: “No no. No it is not.’

An awkward moment of silence then occurred in the Sky Sports studio, with the former Manchester United captain giving the show host a stern look.

Jones then broke the silence with a sheepish response, saying, “Fine…I might come back to that later.”

“No problem,” Keane replied, as co-pundit Daniel Sturridge burst out laughing.

Both, however, saw the funny side of Keane’s comments, with Jones turning to continue the show laughing, while Keane flashed a wry smile and appeared to laugh at the awkward moment.

Keane has previously described the Norwegian’s overall game as that of a League Two striker, leading Haaland to respond after their win over Wolves.

“His general level of play is so bad, and not just today, I think his general attacks, his headers or anything in terms of in front of goal are the best in the world,” he previously said on Sky. Post-match sports coverage.

“But for his overall game for such a player he is so bad, not just today, I think he needs to improve that he is almost like a Ligue 2 player.”

Danield Sturridge (second from left) burst out laughing after the incident.

He was furious when Pep Guardiola decided to take him off in the second half.

Keane then revisited his comments after Haaland scored on his return from injury against Nottingham Forest last week.

The former Manchester United midfielder joked: “He looked a lot like a Championship player, he’s improved a lot. In terms of goalscoring he’s absolutely incredible, his finishing quality is no doubt.

Haaland’s response was short and to the point as he admitted, “I don’t really care about that man, so that’s okay.”

The former Manchester United midfielder joked: “He looked a lot like a Championship player, he’s improved a lot. In terms of goalscoring he’s absolutely incredible, his quality in terms of finishing is no doubt.

His latest comments have now reignited the war of words between the two men, and it will certainly be awkward the next time Haaland is interviewed by Sky Sports with Keane in studio.
