Rosneft and Indian Oil sign to increase deliveries of Russian crude to India – RT in French

During a working visit to India, the chairman of the Russian state oil group Rosneft signed an agreement with the state-owned Indian Oil group to “significantly increase” crude oil deliveries to India.
The Russian oil company Rosneft announced on March 29 that it had reached an agreement with the state-owned Indian Oil company to “significantly increase” India’s oil supply and diversify its qualities. The agreement was signed during a working trip of Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin to India, during which meetings were held with representatives of Indian ministries, as well as with the heads of the largest oil companies and gas companies in the country.
In its statement, Rosneft also notes that the parties discussed the expansion of comprehensive cooperation in the energy sector between Russian and Indian companies along the technological chain, as well as the possibility of mutual settlements in national currencies. “Special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects between Rosneft and Indian partners, including Sakhalin-1, Taas-Yuryakh and Vankorneft,” the statement said.
It is also specified that, according to data from the Indian Ministry of Commerce, Russia has become in 2022, for the first time in history, one of the five main trading partners of India, with a volume of trade between the two countries of 38.4 billion dollars.
