Rory McIlroy: Masters record

McIlroy will compete in his 16th Masters tournament this week.

He has seven top-ten finishes at Augusta National but has never won the major.

Its first appearance took place in 2009 and it is expected to return 15 years later.

The Northern Irishman’s best finish was a second place in 2022, but he was never really in contention with eventual champion Scottie Scheffler.

And his worst results came when he failed to qualify three times in 2010, 2021 and last year.

In total, McIlroy has won $4,167,521 in prize money playing at the Masters.

His lowest round at Augusta is 64 while his highest is 80, with an average score of 71.5.

Those 80 came in 2011. He led after each day before suffering a spectacular collapse on the final day and letting the trophy slip away.

Last year, McIlroy shot 72 and 77 in his first two days to miss the cut.

Rory McIlroy: major victories

McIlroy has won a total of four major tournaments during his career.

He hasn’t won one since 2014, his most recent success dating back to the PGA Championship 10 years ago.

It was his second title in the same year after winning the Open Championship at Hoylake.

In 2012, McIlroy won his first PGA Championship, a year after his first major victory at the US Open in 2011.

He will aim to end his long wait to win his fifth major title this year.

If McIlroy wins the Masters, he will become only the sixth player in history to complete the prestigious Grand Slam.
