Rory McILroy said furiously to a fan of “Closing the F ***” after being heckled in San Diego on Sunday.
The Northern Irishman missed a 10 -foot sneaktened putt on the third hole in the final round at the Genesis Invitational.
It was the start of a frustrating day for McILroy, who finally finished nine strokes behind the winner Ludvig Aberg after a last round of 72.
After missing the putt, a fan could be heard shouting: “blame your shopping cart”.
To which McILroy instantly replied: “Close the F *** Up”.
Mcilroy’s shopping cart and best friend, Harry Diamond, sparked criticism towards the end of last season in the middle of a fitness.

McILroy escaped the possibility of putting an end to his drought of 10 years of major championship in June after a disastrous collapse at the US Open.
The Northern Irishman also had trouble in the Colorado BMW championship, where he threw one of his clubs in the water and even broke his driver in two in the middle of the frustration of his shape.
After McILroy collapsed surprisingly to the US Open, Diamond sparked criticism of his club choice on the 15th hole in the last round.
Hank Haney – who previously worked with Tiger Woods for six years – said Caddies being friends with golfers only work if the shopping cart is asserted.
McILroy retaliated to his comments saying: “Hank Haney has never been in this position.
“Just because Harry is not as vocal or noisy with his words as other Caddies, that does not mean that he says nothing and that he does nothing.
“I just want, you know, these guys who criticize when things do not go, they never say anything good when things go in my sense.”
He also added, “Someone told me once, if you never took advice from these people, you would never do their criticisms either. I would certainly not go to Hank Haney to get advice.
