After winning his very first event in Pebble Beach, Rory McILroy spoke with Amanda Balionis of CBS Sports in a post-Final interview.
McILroy cleared the competition, finishing two shots in front of his friend Shane Lowry to finish his weekend in northern California 21 under the peer.
After his first historical victory, McILroy addressed what it meant to win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
“Some people would say that the golf courses on which I won are not up to a pebble beach or obviously an Augusta or something else,” joked McILroy.
“But gaining one of the golf cathedrals is really really cool. I knew that today was going to be hard, it was going to be exciting, there were so many guys around the head.
“And I guess I had to … with a beach galler, I had to put it in mind and go there and try to shoot a score, which I could.

Longtime golf fans have quickly pointed out how the interview between the two clumsy ” ‘between the two considered the events of 2024.

Last year, McILroy asked for the divorce of his seven -year -old wife – Erica Stoll – serving him papers at their home in Florida.
Rumors suggested that McILroy had had a certain form of relationship with Balionis when they were both on tour.
None of these rumors have been proven and neither Balionis nor McILroy addressed them.

In June, less than a full month after Stoll was meant, the file was withdrawn and the couple remained together.
