A fire on the roof of a three-story building in downtown San Diego Friday night prompted evacuations, according to Fire and Rescue officials.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. at Rei Do Gado Brazilian Steakhouse on Fourth Avenue near Broadway, authorities said.
The fire created a plume of smoke over the metropolitan area.
