Rodri and Nathan Ake seen arguing as Man City lead before half-time against Nottingham Forest

Manchester City’s Rodri and Nathan Ake appeared to have a disagreement as they headed into the tunnel for half-time at Nottingham Forest.

The reigning Premier League champions led 1-0 before the break at the City Ground – but two of their stars were far from all smiles as they left the pitch.

As the teams headed to the locker room, television cameras focused on the two men.

Both players had their backs to the camera, but Rodri appeared to shrug his shoulders and speak towards his teammate.

Ake then responded with an equally heated reaction.

It’s unclear exactly what the two men were saying, but it would suggest that Man City were not thrilled with their team’s performance in what had been a close affair.

Both men have been key players in Pep Guardiola’s side’s Premier League title run this season, with Ake making 39 appearances in all competitions, while Rodri has made 44 appearances.

Josko Gvardiol’s header from a corner put Pep Guardiola’s side 1-0 up, their second goal in three Premier League matches.

However, the home side, who are just one point above the relegation zone, also had a string of chances to get on the scoresheet.

Chris Wood had a glorious chance in the first half but was unable to settle his feet quickly enough to fire Gonzalo Montiel’s quick cross into the City goal to level things up.

Meanwhile, Murillo hit the crossbar from six yards out as he unleashed an improvised shot during a goalmouth scrum.

Forest were made to pay for their lack of composure in the second half, which City controlled, as Erling Haaland came off the bench to seal a 2-0 victory for the visitors.

Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy predict Manchester City will win the Premier League against Arsenal and they can do it without Erling Haaland in the team

Man City may be in the driver’s seat in the title race, but still can’t afford to drop points.

Arsenal’s 3-2 victory over fierce rivals Tottenham on Sunday leaves them a point ahead of City, who still have another game in hand after their game at Forest.
