
Sir Rod Stewart canceled a series of concerts in the United States while recovering from the flu, in front of his Glastonbury legends later this month.
The 80 -year -old Rock Star should play the coveted TEAT time slit on Sunday, June 29 – 23 years after its appearance for the last time at Somerset Festival.
Sir Rod announced on Instagram that he had abandoned four dates and resumed two others which were to take place over the next eight days.
“Sorry my friends,” he said. “I am devastated and I sincerely apologize for any drawback for my fans. I will be back on stage and I will see you soon.”
He signed “Sir Rod”, as well as an emoji with sorrow.
He also listed the four programs he canceled – in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada – as well as two that he plans to reprogram in California.
Sir Rod previously said that he intended to stop playing “global tours on a large scale” at the end of 2025 and to perform in more intimate places.
But he said he was “proud, ready and more than capable of having fun and tickling my friends in Glastonbury” When he became the first act to be confirmed for this year’s festival.
He said that the Podcast Peter Crouch that he should only play for an hour and a quarter on the Pyramid scene.

He also told Podcast that he would perform in Glastonbury with his former group comrade Ronnie Wood.

The niche still attracts one of the biggest crowds of the festival, and Sir Rod will become the first person to have received the invoicing of legends and to have titled the festival, after its previous appearance there in 2002 alongside Coldplay and Stereophony.
The headliners this year at Worthy Farm are 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo.
