President Donald Trump called an audible at the start of his speech on Friday evening in West Mifflin, temporarily removing an agreement of $ 14 billion between US Steel and Nippon Steel to recognize a Trio of Pittsburgh Steelers.
The former legend of the Steelers Rocky Bleier, who was joined on stage by the current Steelers Mason Rudolph and Miles Killebrew, presented to Trump a honorary steelers jersey with n ° 47 on this subject – a nod to him being the 47th president of this term.
“I have the honor to give you an honorary steeler,” said Bleier.
To work, Trump said: “This man had enormous courage. He had a lot of grain.”
Trump then turned his attention to Rudolph, a former Steelers rescue quarter who returned to Pittsburgh after spending last season in Tennessee.
“I think he’s going to have a big blow. He’s big, he’s beautiful, he has a big arm and I have the feeling that he will be the guy,” predicted Trump.
Trump then described Killebrew, security, like “an absolute killer”.
Rudolph seemed reluctant to go up to the microphone, but did it after being questioned by the president.
“Listen, I am honored to be here with a great Steeler legend like Rocky Bleier, someone who fought for our country in Vietnam and returned and played a big football for black and gold,” said Rudolph. “It’s great to be here to be part of this big investment at Pittsburgh. Go Etedeler. ”
Killebrew added: “What would you say about our president of ours? May God bless you, President Trump, and God bless you, Pittsburgh.”
