Rock icon Carlos Santana suffered a medical emergency before his concert in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, and performance has been postponed, according to information.
The San Antonio fire service told Mysailantonio.com that a medical team had responded to a possible fainting around 5 p.m. at the Majestic Theater and that the 77 -year -old man was transported to a regional hospital.
Quoting sources, TMZ wrote that the collapse occurred during a sound of sound. The video obtained by the entertainment site allegedly shows that Santana was taken to a Gurney in a pending ambulance, but the transfer is mainly masked by the staff.
His manager, Michael Vrionis, said the cause was dehydration.
“Mr. Santana was on the site (Majestic Theatre) preparing for this evening show when he experienced a determined event to be dehydration,” said Vrionis in a press release on Facebook. “By an abundance of prudence and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the spectacle was the most cautious line of conduct. He’s going well and is looking forward to returning to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his American tour. ”
HuffPost contacted the Santana team for an update.
Dehydration would also have been behind Santana’s collapse during a concert in 2022.
He underwent a heart procedure at the end of 2021.
Santana, who considered one of the most innovative guitarists in Rock’n’N Roll, exploded on the stage with a memorable performance in Woodstock with her group of the same name in 1969.
