Robin Roberts Left Blown Away by Home Hack Live on GMA: ‘I Had No Idea’

Robin Roberts discovered something new at work on Thursday and she was beyond impressed!

The Good Morning America star was impressed after discovering a simple but genius home hack during the Shopping Strategies segment.

The regular segment helps viewers find money-saving tips, and Robin was very impressed when it came to a tip about nuts. “I want to talk to you a little bit about nuts,” the shopping expert told Robin, as the star walked across the studio to open a fridge containing an assortment of food items.

In the fridge we have nuts. For maximum storage capacity, you can store your nuts in the refrigerator. They are perfect as a snack and keep even longer in the refrigerator or freezer. »

“I never thought about putting them in the fridge,” Robin exclaimed, adding, “I had no idea!”

The TV presenter will be able to try this trick both during her stay in her New York apartment and in the beautiful country house where she spends the weekend with her wife, Amber Laign.

They love their zen property so much that they even chose it as the perfect venue to get married this September.

The happy couple said ‘I do’ in front of close family and friends in their backyard. Robin bought the country house for just $410,000 more than two decades ago and the house boasts a light and airy conservatory as well as a swimming pool in the garden.

Robin and Amber’s relationship is also incredibly unique, as the couple only spends half of their weeks in the same house. Instead, they spend weekends together, while Robin stays in New York during the week while working and Amber stays in Connecticut.

During a previous appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, the TV host told Robin, “I read in the book that you don’t live together because you get up at 3 a.m.,” referring to his book, Everybody’s Got Something, was released in 2014.

In the book, the journalist writes: “Amber and I have been a loving couple for almost ten years now, but we chose not to live together. Maybe that’s why we lasted almost a decade !” And now they last almost two.

Robin and Amber have a strong relationship and have been through a lot as a couple, which only makes them stronger. In 2022, Robin announced that Amber had been diagnosed with breast cancer and completed radiation treatment in July 2023, shortly before their wedding.

Robin herself is a breast cancer and bone marrow transplant survivor, and has used her platform to help others by sharing her experience and being incredibly open about her own health journey.
