Diogo Jota opened the scoring against Southampton before the Brazilian netted a second.
He crushed Saints goalkeeper Alex McCarthy at St Mary’s in the 14th minute.
However, the goals came fast and plentiful, as James Ward-Prowse netted one five minutes later.
And then the Saints finished the comeback with Kamaldeen Sulemana making it 2-2, shooting home with the starting Theo Walcott picking up the assist.

The madness continued to come on the south coast with Southampton leading 4-2 with second-half goals from Sulemana and Adam Armstrong.
Liverpool managed to pull it back to 4-4 with Jota getting a second and Gakpo scoring as well.
Firmino’s next club has yet to be confirmed but Real Madrid and Barcelona are linked.
The Brazilian isn’t the only player to make his final appearance for Liverpool on Sunday.
