For four seasons, Robert Saleh was the defensive coordinator of the 49ers under the head coach Kyle Shanahan. After the intermediate results from 2017 to 2018, Saleh led to a dominant unit in 2019 which helped San Francisco to reach the Super Bowl Liv.
Now, Saleh is back with the 49ers after a four-year-old passage as a jets’ chief coach. He told journalists on Thursday that he had no interest in working for another team as DC.
“I have a huge amount of Respect for this organization“Said Saleh, via Nick Waggoner d’Espn.” They gave me a lot and during the first two years, if you think of these first two years as a coordinator in ’17 and ’18, it was not easy, and it could have been very easy for them to continue for me.
“I am indebted to this organization, to these men for the rest of my life. They stayed with me and we did it. We did what we had to do and the rest is the story and I am delighted with the opportunity to have the chance to start again with them. ”
San Francisco ranked n ° 2 under the yards and n ° 8 in the points authorized in 2019. New York finished n ° 4 and n ° 3 in yards authorized in the last two complete seasons of Saleh as a chief trainer.
