India delivered a stellar performance on the second day of the World Para 2025 Athletics Grand Prix in New Delhi, with Rinku Hooda emerging as the Hors Competition Star in the male events of the Javelin. Rinku won the gold medal in the F46 category with an impressive launch of 60.26 meters, continuing its golden sequence after its recent triumph during the 22nd national athletics paragraph championships in Goa and a silver medal with the fourth games of para asian paras. Its dominant jet placed it in front of Gamini Ketawala from Sri Lanka, which recorded a 56.88 meter throw, and Elyorbek Elmatov in Uzbekistan, which settled for bronze with 43.01 meters.
The domination of India was also underlined in the combined category of the Javelin F12, F37, F42, F43, where the Indian athletes swept the podium. Pushpendra Singh led the peloton with a 57.57 -meter gold throw, followed by Mohit which obtained money with 45.45 meters, and Jaswant who took bronze with 45.94 meters, marking another clean sweep for hosts.
The momentum continued through other events on the ground, with a rizen adding another gold for India in the male category Javelin F40 / F41 with a throw of 30.33 meters. The Alexey Lukutin of Kazakhstan and Yuldosbek Hajiev in Uzbekistan finished second and third respectively. In the Men’s Discus Throw F56 / F57 event, ATUL KAUSHIK from India came out victorious with a 43.92 meter throw, while compatriot RAM KUMAR Yadav won money with 30.59 meters. The bronze went to the Maekel Lita of the Philippines, which succeeded 22.79 meters.
Khushboo Gill and Ananya Bansal Win Top Put Silver and Bronze
The female athletes of India also made their presence felt. During the weight throwing event, Svetlana Mironova claimed gold with a 13.97 -meter throw, while Khushboo Gill in India took the money with 9.52 meters and a Bansal Ananyya deserved bronze with an effort of 7.73 meters. In the category of F34 Javelin women, Baghyashri Madhavrao Jadhav from India won gold with a 12.73 -meter throw, ahead of Dilsuz Ziyodulloeva in Uzbekistan, who took money with 11.30 meters. On the track, Edwin Masuage du Botswana shaped gold in the male event of 400 meters T13 / T20 with a time of 50.60 seconds. He was closely followed by Denis Shabalin, an athlete of para neutral, who succeeded 50.40 seconds for money, while Bose Mokgwathi from Botswana took bronze with 50.81 seconds. In the male event in long jump T20 / T36 / T37, the para neutral athlete Matvei Lakushev jumped in gold with a distance of 7.17 meters, followed by Chermen Kobesov with a silver jump of 5.86 meters, while Taha Al Harrasi d’Oman with a bronze with 5.86 meters.
