Riley Keough to play in “Out of this World” by Albert Serra

Riley Keough joined the cast of “Out of this World” directed by Albert Serra, the Spanish director whose film in 2022 “Pacific” contributed to Cannes and won a pair of Cesar prize. Keough will play in front of F. Murray Abraham and Liza Yankovskaia (“Frau”).

The beginnings in the cinema in English by Serra, “Out of this world”, follows an American delegation going to Russia in the middle of the Ukrainian war to try to find a solution to an economic dispute. The project explores the rivalry of the decades between Russia and the United States, while it will mainly draw in English, it will also include a Russian dialogue. Kristen Stewart was previously attached to Star in the film.

“Out of this world” is represented internationally by the Alice Lesort sales team at Losange Films, the sales and production shop led by the author of Charles Gillibert who is a sister label of CG Cinema. The feature film, which marks the eighth film by Serra, is produced by the diamond films, the ideal audience group and Andergraun films in association with Felix Culpa and in co -production with Filmed and Forma Pro Rosa. The diamond films will also distribute “out of this world” in France.

“We are very proud to climb on board Albert Serra’s new film – his very first in English,” said Lesort who described him as “one of the most inventive filmmakers of his generation, with previous works which are both powerful and marked by a rare cinematographic audacity”.

“The idea of ​​this meeting with Riley Keough is something that really fascinates us,” said Lesort. “She is an actress of great intensity, capable of representing complex characters with rare precision, and her sensitivity brings an extraordinary depth to each project.”

Serra made “afternoon of solitude” for the last time which won the golden shell in San Sebastian last year. Keough will then be seen in Karim Ainouz’s “Rosebush Rosebush”.

The CG Cinema de Gillibert is in Cannes with three films through the official selection, in particular the “Resurrection” of Bi Gan in competition; “The disappearance of Kirill Serebrennikov by Josef Mengele” and “Water Chronology” by Kristin Stewart at the UN. As the fall festivals approaches, CG Cinema will present “seams” of Alice Winocour, with Angelina Jolie and “Père, Mother, Sister, Brother, Brother, Brother, Brother, Brother, Brother, Brother. Losange films, meanwhile, represents four rods internationally, “Resurrection”, “Chronology of Water”, “Yes” by Nadav Lapid and “Angel” by Tony Gatlif.
