Rihanna officially worked, worked, worked, worked, made her way to become a billionaire.
The richest musician in the world is now worth $ 1.7 billion, according to Forbes, and she comes second behind Oprah Winfrey as the richest female artist.
Known for her hits like “We Found Love”, “Umbrella” and many others, Rihanna née Robyn Fenty – built her empire with a combination of businesses. Her beauty business, Fenty Beauty, is now worth around $ 2.8 billion (and she currently owns 50% of it) while her lingerie company, Savage X Fenty, is worth around $ 270 million, according to Forbes.
Fenty Beauty, which is half-owned by French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, was launched in 2017 and in 2018 had overtaken other celebrity-founded brands such as Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner, KKW Beauty by Kim Kardashian West and Honest. Jessica Alba’s company in terms of revenue.
Although Rihanna hasn’t released a new album since “Anti” in 2016, she’s been busy since. Aside from Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, she has also starred in trending movies like “Ocean’s Eight” in 2018 and opposite Donald Glover in “Guava Island” in 2019.
And in 2020, she also launched a skincare brand called Fenty Skin, which Forbes says is off to a “very promising start.”
