Ricky Gervais roasted disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, pop star Justin Timberlake and the Hollywood “pedo ring” in jokes he would have made if he were hosting this year’s Golden Globes.
Even though Gervais won’t be hosting the 2025 Golden Globes, he still shared some of the jokes he would have made if he were hosting the awards show.
“Sitting in the bath, I wondered what I would say if I hosted the Golden Globes on Sunday. It’s been a very good year for equipment,” Gervais wrote in a Friday X post.
THE The office The star then shared the roasts he reportedly delivered at the ceremony, writing in a follow-up post: “Hello and welcome to the 82nd Golden Globes. What a year it’s been.
“Hundreds of artists jumped at the chance to go to the Vatican to meet the Pope. Many come from Hollywood. Obviously, they were not content with being part of the 2nd largest pedophile network in the world…” added Gervais.
“Justin Timberlake was convicted of drunk driving. If he had gone to prison, he would have heard the words ‘Sexy Back’ a lot more often,” the comedian continued in another X post.
“Kevin Hart said being at one of Diddy’s parties was uncomfortable because he didn’t want to leave him alone. Finally he had to shout, ‘I’m a dwarf, not a child,'” he said. After life star added in another follow-up X post.
As Breitbart News reported, Gervais roasted Hollywood’s elite at the 2020 Golden Globes, where he called out the room full of A-list stars, directors and producers for looking the other way for decades while producer disgraced movie star Harvey Weinstein allegedly engaged in several acts of sexual assault and harassment.
The comedian also called everyone “perverts”, adding: “It’s been a big year for pedophile films. »
Gervais then dragged members of Hollywood for being a “friend” of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who, he added, “obviously didn’t kill himself.”
This year’s Golden Globes will instead be hosted by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, who said: “What I feel about the Globes is: What are we doing here? We are treating this as if you were all nominated for Nobel Prizes,” according to a report from Variety.
“I don’t think I can be as honest as I would like to be, in communicating my feelings about some of these nominees who I don’t think deserve it,” Glasser added.
The 2025 Golden Globes are scheduled to air Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EST on CBS.
