Rick Ross assaulted after Vancouver festival, videos show

Rick Ross was allegedly attacked in Vancouver, British Columbia on Sunday evening (June 30) after his performance at the Ignite music festival. Video footage posted online appears to show Rozay being punched, which sparks a fight.

According to TMZThe Biggest Boss finished his set around 10:30 p.m. local time and appeared to be leaving the main stage when he was hit, with a video showing Kendrick Lamar’s song about Drake, “Not Like Us,” blaring through the speakers from the room amid Ross’ own feud with the 6 God, who hails from Toronto.

The blows rang out as the situation worsened. Another video The angle of the fight appears to show one of Rozay’s associates knocked unconscious and taken to safety.

“White boy,” one person can be heard shouting, which could be a reference to the nickname Rozay gave Drizzy on his diss track “Champagne Moments.”

Ross said TMZ As of Monday morning, no one with him was seriously injured, and added that he “can’t wait to get back” to “beautiful” Vancouver, B.C.

Ross also posted a photo of himself laughing in front of a private jet on Instagram Stories on Monday morning (July 1). “Vancouver was fun. Until next time,” he captioned the image.

Billboard contacted representatives for Rick Ross, the Ignite Music Festival and the Vancouver Police Department.

50 Cent wasted no time in lampooning his rival Ross. He posted an alleged video on Instagram of Ricky making a “great escape” to safety during the fight. “LOL THE GREAT ESCAPE! MEEKA CALL THE SUCCESSORS THEY’RE CHASING ME. LOL,” he captioned the post.

Drake, who was not involved in the incident, liked an Instagram post from Keep6ixSolid recapping Sunday’s altercation that appears to involve Rozay.

It’s unclear what sparked the feud earlier this year between Drake and Ross, who have been close collaborators for the past 15 years. Drake criticized Ross on his track “Push Ups” in April, and Rozay returned the favor with his track “Champagne Moments,” in which he claimed the OVO boss had gotten a nose job and continued to call him “BBL Drizzy” because of the alleged cosmetic work.
