The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has had its fair share of viral moments. Many of them understand Britani Batemaneven if she hasn’t completely anchored herself in the cast.
However, she’s in the news again, and this time, it’s not because she sings songs from Wicked with full green makeup. Unfortunately, Brittany blames her ex-husband John Schott Underwood for allegedly emptying his bank accounts and finding other ways to harm him.
Fans will remember that Britani joined the cast of RHOSLC for his fifth season as a friend of. Although it seems like every time she appears in a scene, she’s seemingly the butt of the joke. For example, it’s become a running joke that she always makes some sort of announcement that her castmates never seem to care about. Of course no one can forget Angie Katsanevas tell Housewives debutante that she had “a high hair count.”
NOW, The daily mail has obtained court documents showing Britani making new allegations against her EX, John. For starters, Britani alleged in court that he emptied their business account for personal expenses. Not only that, but she and her legal team claim he didn’t add her to accounts related to their joint activities.
Specifically, the documents allege his actions include “unauthorized expenditure of company funds for personal expenses, failure to add Britani to accounts related to the parties’ activities, unauthorized draining of the company account parties and failure to operate the businesses. consistent with the historical manner of the parties.
Notably, the businesses they share are a real estate development company called Starwood Group, an entertainment company called Pure Productions, and a construction company called Millcreek Builders.
Unfortunately, there is more to the story involving Britani and her ex-husband. The RHOSLC star claims he violated a protective order that requires him to stay at least 25 feet away from her. Of course, this comes on the heels of Britani’s several allegations of abuse against her. This is notably believed to be what led to her strained relationship with her children, as she said he allegedly banned her from having contact with her friends and family. This protection order has been in effect for over a year.
According to the report, the violation “may include, but is not limited to, a fine of up to $1,000 and imprisonment of up to 30 days.” Regarding the other issues, Britani wants a judgment that “corresponds to the amount of personal expenses that John Underwood paid with his company funds.”
It also asks him to pay her attorney’s fees and restore access to “all business accounts and record-keeping software and information (such as QuickBooks).”
John must now appear in court for a judge to validate the claims of Britani and his legal team. Additionally, it is unclear to what extent she believes the accounts have been depleted. Of course, it’s worth noting that Britani is also suing John for intentionally inflicting emotional distress due to the alleged forms of abuse mentioned above. Understandably, John and his lawyers have denied the abuse and forced removal from his family.
Regarding the $2.5 million lawsuit, John’s attorney previously said, “This is just one of many vexatious cases that Ms. Underwood has had the impetus for, often making false and exaggerated claims.” At least three previous cases which she initiated have already been dismissed.
Britani, who plans to release an EP in the future, revealed in May 2023 that his monthly expenses were $66,077.25.
Fans can watch Britani on RHOSLC on Wednesday evening.
