RFK Jr. only kills him in this real life – Orange County Register

Culture counts. It is an expression of our soul. And as the estimable California philosopher, Tracy Chapman, reminds us, is your soul.

Before you have your soul, you have your heart. I do not mean the metaphorical or spiritual heart. I mean the beating organ that keeps you alive to play a role in your culture in the first place.

So, although it is important to call the literally evil presidential administration of Donald Trump, as I have done in recent weeks in this space, for its inexcusable ravages with our culture in his body towards the Smithsonian and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, among other places, it is even more important for the possibility of an American future to call it.

Not metaphorically, by striking at the heart of the art that supports us when we are in fairly good health as a people to indulge us.

Literally killing us.

This is the apparent objective of the president’s choice for the Secretary of Health and Social Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Since he campaigned for the president himself on renders: Healthy America again, and often says that his goal is to eradicate what he calls an epidemic of chronic illness in our country, you would think at first glance that RFK JR. was a good choice for work.

Of course, it is weird that he took the post of a guy whom he had recently called a “terrible human being”, a “discredit to democracy” and “probably a sociopath”, but in these days of Trump, strange things occur.

So no, I’m not talking about what he says. I’m talking about what he does. Done every day. It is the titles of RFK Jr. of the last 23 hours when I write this Thursday afternoon late: “Kennedy Guts Teams that share information on health with the public”; “FDA layoffs could increase medication costs and erode food security”; “Kennedy remains silent on 10,000 jobs lost in the best health agency in the country.”

Who is sociopath now?

Just as his boss has taken a demolition ball to our retirement funds – and to the economies of the country and around the world – with a pen of pen on Wednesday because of his dangerous ignorance and dangerous of the way in which international trade works, Kennedy was therefore released on American public health because of his unrecognizable and dangerous medical sciences.

Not understanding economics and medicine in the Trump world upside down, is a good thing.

More than 17,000 doctors have signed a letter to the American Senate opposing its confirmation. An epidemiologist of Yale said that confirming Kennedy would be like “putting a flat land in NASA”. You cannot have a longtime drug addict and a promoter of conspiracy theories which says that fluorine is dangerous in water (it is certain) and that cell phones cause cancer (they do not do it) touting the supposed dangers of vaccines in charge of the country’s health. Until you do it.

Kennedy and the defense of the health of his children said that vaccines cause autism. They don’t.

And now the push comes to push. I come from an era when measles killed many children in America and I missed hundreds of thousands of thousands each year. When I was 8 years old, the brilliant vaccine against measles was released and we licked deadly disease. Then, this winter, when there was an epidemic of measles among mennonites and other rural children not vaccinated in Texas Panhandle, RFK Jr., newly confirmed, said: “We have epidemics of measles every year.” We don’t do it. The disease was in the category called “eliminated at the national level”. While claiming not to be against the vaccination of measles, he actually favored cod liver oil and vitamin A for the epidemic. They don’t work.

The head of the country’s vaccine program resigned at the end of last month, saying: “It has become clear that the truth and transparency are not desired by the secretary, but he rather wishes the subordinate confirmation of his disinformation and his lies.” RFK Jr.’s communications manager for the department said after his own resignation from days before: “Kennedy and his team work to fold science to adapt to their own stories, rather than allowing the facts to guide politics.”

A contractia is a fun guy to have in a dormitory bull session. Not so much when he kills us in real life.
