Investigators offer a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in a flight offense accident that killed a 36 -year -old man to make a electric bike in Clairemont on Saturday.
The accident was reported around 1:30 am when the biker E was struck by a sedan traveling west on Balboa avenue near Interstate 805, investigators said.
The sedan did not stop and moved away, leaving scattered car debris – including parts of the right mirror, bumper and lower front – on the scene, the police said.
The paramedical paramedics arrived and took the biker to the hospital, where he died. His name has not yet been released.
Investigators said the automotive parts left on the accident site helped them determine that the vehicle involved in the accident was an electronic gray or four -door electronic class. Police said the windshield may also have been damaged.
Crime Stoppers offers up to a reward of $ 1,000 for information that helps the police identify the vehicle and the driver, investigators said.
