Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid can benefit from their relationship with the Nike Kit Supplier
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Atletico Madrid’s relationship with Nike could be the key factor in the future of Gyokerres.
The American retailer is kit suppliers to Los Colchoneros and the Gyokerers sponsor while Man United and Arsenal have their kit provided by Adidas.
Nike renewed their agreement with Atletico Thursday with reports claiming that the agreement was worth a huge 24 million pounds Sterling, which would make it the third best rewarded European club after Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
As one of their most prominent customers, Nike would be reluctant to see Gyokerers in the kit marked by their rivals, Adidas.
So much so that the Catalan newspaper El Nacional even said that the clothing brand could pay part of the signing of the Lisbon Sportif striker.
Gykerres was widely reported would have a release clause of 85 million pounds sterling. But it is now understood that sport would be willing to accept offers of around 58 million pounds sterling.
It would therefore be a much cheaper acquisition than his compatriot Arsenal Target Alexander Isak, who was estimated at 150 million pounds sterling by Newcastle.
