Man United appreciated one of the most dramatic nights in their European history when they overthrew a global deficit of 6-4 against Lyon to score three goals in nearby minutes and reach the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Their triumph was however tempered by the news that two players had to leave Old Trafford at halftime due to urgent family problems which would be entirely unrelated.
We were replaced by Luke Shaw while Victor Lindelof failed to resume his place on the Man United bench for the second half.
Manager of Man United, Ruben Amorim, said: “We had a problem with Doussa at halftime.
“Vic has a personal problem, he had to leave.
Amorim did not develop what the problems were but explained that Shaw should only play 30 minutes when he returned after another long implementation of injury.

Instead, the left back of England ended up playing more than 75 minutes while United launched his two goals and was taken nearby.
Ten -Man Lyon then scored two goals in addition to time – one of a penalty given by Shaw – before Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire mark in the 114th, 120th and 121st minutes to finish an amazing turnaround.
Amorim, who rolled the dice by putting both Mainoo and Maguire at the front for the last minutes, explained his inspiration for engineering one of the biggest returns of the club.
“4-2 with another player and you think it’s over,” said Amorim.
“But here it’s never over. I was watching the 1999 documentary again for inspiration for these moments, it was a great night.
“We tried to put Harry Maguire at the front because he is the only one who could score a goal with a header.
“The stadium sounds were the best of all time. Some people collect shirts, scarves, but I want to keep this sound, it’s the best sound in the world.
“I feel for people who had to go to 4-2 because of traffic, they will be emptied.”
