On Wednesday will mark the release of the NFL calendar in 2025, but a big change should be made at the League headquarters thereafter.
Howard Katz, Vice-President Director of NFL broadcasting and media, has supervised the creation of League games for over 20 years.
But after the last series of matches was released for the 32 teams, the 75 -year -old man will retire, as he said to Athletic.
Katz, who was recognized by Commissioner Roger Goodell at the annual League meeting this year, would have his functions assumed by the executive vice-president of the distribution of the media Hans Schroeder.
The Katz schedule team would use 200 to 300 computers to help their process (a huge increase compared to the one that was initially used).
Computers have entered the rules for the calendar to respect, like avoiding a three -game road trip, but decision -making finally lies with Katz because it continually repeats the process and makes adjustments.
Howard Katz, the superior vice-president of NFL broadcasting and media, will retire this week

The full version of the NFL calendar will arrive on Wednesday, although some dates have been announced
Katz told athletics that he received a work of personal schedule requests, asking him to plan wedding, bar-mitza and more.
He also recalled the Pope’s visit to Philadelphia in 2015 shaking Eagles’ calendars that year, while concerts in the same city as a team can also affect planning.
While the calendar has not yet been published in full, the NFL began to publish details on Monday, announcing that the season would start with the Eagles of the Super Bowl-Champion welcoming cowboys.
On Tuesday, the League also released its international list, which includes a record of seven games this season.
The chargeers will face a team not yet announced in Sao Paulo, the Vikings will play Dublin against the Steelers, then against the Browns next week in London.
There will also be broncos-games and rams-jaguars clashes in the English capital, while the colts and the Falcons will play in Berlin.
Dolphins and commanders will also play the first NFL match in Madrid on November 16.
