Lachlan Coote built his name in rugby league, but now he builds dreams in a new shocking industry after returning to Townsville, where he won his only LNR Minister with the Cowboys.
Coote now represents Northern Realty as a real estate agent, a decision he describes both as a professional challenge and a personal vocation.
After more than 15 years in Elite Sport, he applies the same discipline and goes to real estate.
COOTE played an essential role in the cowboys spine during their historic triumph of the Grand Final of the LNR 2015 and felt a strong link with the local community during this period
So, after five years in England, playing for St Helens – where he won three consecutive titles from Super League – he decided to bring his young family back to northern Queensland instead of returning to Sydney.
He played 259 professional games, scored 103 trials and scored 352 goals, totaling 1123 career points. On the international level, he wore jerseys for Scotland, Great Britain, the origin of the city and the XIII of the Prime Minister.

But the next chapter of his life would not be in a box of comments or a coaching box.
Instead, Coote felt a new challenge – and a return to Townsville.
“I love the community, our family loves it,” he said.
“It’s an excellent lifestyle. It’s like at home.
He said he could have returned to Sydney but chose northern Queensland for his feeling of belonging.
“This is what we liked in this place,” he said.
Real estate, said Coote, was a next natural step after 15 years of professional football.
“I wanted to test myself in another professional environment,” he said.

COOTE said that the life of North Queensland addressed himself to him and to his young family and that they supported his decision to return to Townsville
The old rear and five eighth has already made its mark in its new career with Sales on the board of directors
He said he saw parallels between professional sport and real estate.
“You go out what you put with hard work and I loved it to be a professional rugby league player.
COOTE said that working again in the community had given it a real objective.
“I am excited about this and I obviously create the best possible results for my customers in the future.”
He said he had chosen Northern Realty because of his link with director Gavin Micola. “I felt like there was a good connection and I felt like we could work together because we have similar values.”
On the company’s website, Coote says that its transition to real estate has been motivated by passion. “I am passionate about the achievement of the best results for my clients,” he wrote.
He highlights the features of his sports career – teamwork, confidence and local insight – as a central of his new profession.
