Mason Greenwood responded to the failure of an appointment for the player of the season of the French player’s union after a first strong season at the Ligue 1 Marseille game.
The former Manchester United player moved away from Old Trafford on a permanent basis last summer following his loan from the season at Laliga Getafe in 2023-24.
Greenwood had not made an appearance for his childhood team since January 2022 after being arrested before having been accused of attempted rape, assault and control and coercive behavior.
The accusations against the 23 -year -old were then abandoned by the Crown prosecution service following the withdrawal of key witnesses, and a later internal investigation into his conduct by Man United came to the mutual agreement by the two parties according to which he should continue his career far from Old Trafford.
Since his move in France, Greenwood has experienced a first positive campaign under the former manager of Brighton, Roberto de Zerbi.
But despite the end of the season as the second top scorer in his new league – behind Ousmane Dembele in Paris Saint -Germain – Greenwood was snubbed by UNFP.

Although he was left out, Greenwood was less than bloody about his exclusion when he was asked after the 1 = 1 draw in Marseille with Lille last weekend.
“I am not really disturbed on this subject,” Greenwood told RMC Sport, “the only thing that bothers me is to make Marseille in the Champions League.”
But as much as the player’s public words could suggest a lack of interest, a private Greenwood could have the comments of Zerbi de March sound in his ears.
At the time, the former manager of Seagulls had castigated Greenwood for a form of form which he felt under the control of the player.
“I’m waiting for him,” said Zerbi about his attacker. “He must do more, because what he is currently showing is not enough.
“If he wants to achieve his ambition to become champion, he must be more consistent, sacrifice more and be more determined.”
De Zerbi later revealed that he worked with Greenwood’s father in order to improve his performance on the ground.
Greenwood has since found its way in goals, marking against recent opponents Toulouse and Montpellier, but can look for greater yields in order to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Mail Sport reported this week that Greenwood “ aspire ” for a return to his country of origin, and believes that such a decision would be possible because the “vitriol” was aimed during his time accused of domestic aggression and then “ moved away ”.
For the moment, Greenwood has two more games – against Le Havre and Rennes – before the conclusion of the season with which to reserve the place of his club at the upper table of the quarter of Europe.
The Riviera team is currently, but on 59 points, they are only one point ahead of Monaco third, and two in front of Rivals Nice, Lille and Strasbourg.
