Revealed: Man United staff will not receive free tickets for the Europa League final against Spurs while the latest movement to reduce Sir Jim Ratcliffe Sparks.

Manchester United does not give free tickets to the staff of the Europa League final – while Tottenham offers a free ticket to each full -time employee.

The two clubs received an allowance of around 15,000 for the confrontation of Bilbao on May 21.

United keeps a ballot with a small number of tickets available for their staff. For the majority, they organize a projection in Manchester with the invitation open to the most. Mail Sport understands that the staff member will receive two free drinks, while their guests will have to pay for theirs.

United’s point of view is that they have priority to supporters on staff, with high demand tickets, and that fans would have been disappointed if such a percentage of available people went to those who work for the club rather than match enthusiasts.

Before the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his group Ineos, United had a workforce of approximately 1,140. Since then, two layoffs have followed while Ratcliffe is looking to reduce costs and reorient revenue to strengthening the game team. Although the process is underway, around 450 job losses are expected. Other areas have also been targeted for savings, including the cancellation of the Christmas party. The drinks policy for the Europa League final is in accordance with this model. The situation on tickets, reported for the first time by Cendredévils, sparked the anger of some.

Spurs have adopted a clearly different approach. Each full -time worker will be entitled to a free ticket. It is believed that this offer went to around 700 employees. It remains to be seen how many people will take them, with the cost of traveling to the Basque city and accommodation which has repercussions on thousands of pounds.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will offer a free ticket to each full -time employee

With the current process, United should currently employ around 900 employees. Meanwhile, the club has around 50,000 season ticket holders.

A united source said that “overwhelming priority is to maximize the number of tickets for fans”.

While benefiting from much higher allowances, United has paid for flights, accommodation and food for the last three finals of the Champions League in which the club appeared.

For the 2017 Europa League final, an allowance of only 10,000 led the club to plan an event in Manchester in which drinks would have been free, with the former catch that singer Gary Barlow should offer additional entertainment. The event was canceled after the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

For the final of the Europa 2021 League in Gdansk, United and Villareal only received 2,000 tickets each.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain must pay tickets and travel for the 600 employees to their Champions League final with Inter Milan in Munich. The two games received around 19,000 tickets for the match.

It has also been reported that Inter Milan provides free tickets to their staff.
