Formerly a rising star in the AFL, the life of the former Star of North Melbourne, Tarryn Thomas, took a spectacular turn for the worst since a series of violations of misconduct involving women cost him his professional career.
The talented 25 -year -old, who has played 69 AFL games for the kangaroos, is now in the football desert as he assesses his future options.
Thomas had a hard time finding a club since he was dismissed by the kangaroos in 2024, later missing all last season.
He came after the AFL imposed a ban on 18 games on Thomas on several misconduct violations, in particular by threatening a woman via direct messages.
Thomas was forced to sell his apartment and luxury car, a loss of more than $ 100,000 when he was limited – and would now be alive with his girlfriend, News Corp.
Thomas and his lawyer have now worked alongside the AFL Players’ Association (AFLPA) to assess his future in sport.

This occurs when the star in difficulty was recently involved in a police investigation after alleging that he and a friend were held hostage under the threat of a weapon at the beginning of the month.
He also said that individuals, who had retained them hostage, demanded that they sign the papers to his car and gave them thousands in cash.
Thomas would have now retracted his police statement following the alleged incident.
At the start of the 2025 season, Thomas had tried to join the Bullants of the North in the VFL while other teams were also interested in signing it with their list.
The football player had also been informed by AFL that he could play at the level of the State League, but only for a club which is not an affiliate of an AFL team.
The Bullants had expressed the desire to sign it but had received a generalized game during the decision.
The Board of Directors of the Footy Club later decided not to add the 25 -year -old man to their list.
In February, Thomas also almost joined the team of Australia -Western, Swan Districts, but they also publicly announced that they would snub the midfielder – who had moved to Perth in order to start a two -week trial with the team.

The swans then decided that they would not go ahead with their attempts to sign Thomas after several members of their women’s team committed to arrest if he was recruited.
A sponsor of Port Melbourne also said that he would not accept his addition to the club list, even if the team had taken into account the 25 -year signature.
Thomas is considered ineligible to register for the draft of mid-season 2025. The Herald Sun adds that the league has not made a decision to find out if it will be authorized to return in 2026.
Now, his legal team and the AFLPA are supposed to work to assess if he will never have the green light to return to play football.
Sources close to him say, according to the Herald Sun, that the AFL’s decision to allow him to return to football at the level of the state came at a timely moment, giving him only a few options at the VFL level.
Thomas has since turned to religion, heading for a local Sunday service and remained in good shape in the gymnasium.

Thomas was signed in North Melbourne in 2018 as a choice n ° 8 in national draft.
He would make his debut the following year during the defeat of 21 points of the kangaroos against the brisbane lions in the second round.
The 25 -year -old received a rising star appointment after a match against Gold Coast later this season, where he launched two majors.
During his stay with the club, he would return 56 goals through 69 appearances.
