Capcom has confirmed that the next “Resident Evil: Requiem” will allow players to switch between first -person and third -person prospects.
The series experienced with the first person in certain smaller titles, but it was with “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” that he went from a third person to a first -person perspective for a major entry.
Combined with a major change in tone with the aspects of horror of the franchise, the title has considerably attracted acclamation, but also certain complaints of those who do not like or who are unable to play in a first person perspective.
The eighth main title, “Resident Evil Village”, was also published as a first person title. Later, a third -person mode was added as DLC, although grafted rather than designed with him.
Here, the ninth main title is under construction for the two perspectives from the start. The game itself takes place 30 years after the events of “Resident Evil 3” and follows the FBI analyst, Grace Ashcroft, investigating a series of mysterious deaths with Raccoon City.
Unlike previous protagonists, Grace has little combat experience and is more easily afraid. It will overcome its fears and improve as the game progresses.
Capcom confirms that they have tested open and online world concepts for “Resident Evil Requiem” before taking over a traditional linear solo game.
“Resident Evil Requiem” will be released on February 27, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
