Digitimes Asia Released today with a new report indicating that Apple Watch sales in the first half of 2025 reached around 10% of expectations. However, the most interesting part of the report addresses what to expect a very promising range of 2026. Here are the details.
According to the report, sales seem promising for the peak season of the third quarter, which comes after a difficult, but successful, in recent months:
“Despite the challenges of macroeconomic prices and factors, it brought the request for consumer electronics, the supply chain confirms that Apple’s first purchases in the first half of 2025 surpass initial forecasts of around 10%.”
The report indicates that beyond the features based on the Apple Intelligence announced at WWDC25 for Watchos 26, the next Apple Watch Series 11 range (including the new Apple Watch Ultra 3) can start detection of blood pressure. However, non -invasive monitoring of blood sugar “remains limited by medical regulations, technological development and patent disputes”.
In its first iteration, they claim that the characteristic of blood pressure detecting will focus on the tracking and emission trends of anomaly alerts, which, if precise, would be similar to the way recent additions such as temperature monitoring work.
According to the report, on the basis of the “initiates of the supply chain”, the Apple Watch range of next year will focus on three aspects:
“First, the number of sensor components will double; secondly, there will be modifications to external design and the third, the energy efficiency will improve considerably.”
Although the report does not detail exactly which sensors arrive on the high -end “Apple Watch” models next year, it indicates that they will reduce the dependence of devices to the interpretation of algorithmic data, a change that could improve both the performance and the life of the battery.
They also claim that if rumors circulate about the high -end Apple Watch obtaining a “significant overhaul”, Apple will probably not change the appearance of the network of circular sensors under the Apple Watch, despite the doubling of the sensors.
The report contains a lot of coverage, but if the details are correct, 2026 could bring one of Apple Watch’s most exciting upgrades in recent years, with several new sensors and a overhaul.
