Reese Witherspoon dresses up as Elle Woods in ‘Legally Blonde’

Elle Woods is back. Reese Witherspoon revived one of her most memorable characters during Amazon’s upfront presentation at Pier 36 in New York today. And while it’s never a bad thing to see Witherspoon in pink, she donned Woods’ iconic heels for good reason: Shea series based on the beloved character, is a pick for Prime Video, telling fans how everyone’s favorite chihuahua-fighting lawyer came to be before her time at Harvard.

For the ad, Witherspoon cosplayed as Elle Woods, wearing a pink skirt suit and sky-high heels. Of course there was a chihuahua in tow (The Hollywood Reporter notes that it was an apparition of the real Bruiser) as well as Wood’s signature big blonde blowout. Although there is no news yet on who will star in the series and when it will air on the streamer, it is good news for everyone who is expecting something from the streamer. Blonde’s Revenge universe, especially since fans have been teased with a third installment in the film franchise for years now.

Blonde’s Revenge is back!”

The logline of the series goes like this: “She follows Elle Woods through high school as we learn about the life experiences that made her the iconic young woman we knew and loved in the first Blonde’s Revenge movie.”

She continues Witherspoon’s partnership with Amazon: her production company, Hello Sunshine, took charge Daisy Jones and the Six And Something from Tiffany.
