SequoiaThe Broadway musical with Idina Menzel, will end on Sunday, May 18, announced one day after the production did not receive a single nomination to the Tony Award.

The musical, in which Menzel plays a woman struck with sorrow who embarks on a cross-country trip to find comfort in a sequoia forest of the west coast, had difficulties at the box office after having opened on February 13 to intermediate criticism. Last week, participation in the show was only 75% of the capacity.
Sequoiawritten and directed by Tina Landau (including Floyd Collins I received six nominations from Tony on Thursday), started overviews at the Nederlander Theater on January 24. During the fence, he played 127 performances, including 17 preview performances.
