His teammate on the court, Rafael Devers, physically winced as he watched Story hit the grass.
The timeline for Story’s return and whether or not he will undergo surgery is unknown, the baseball official said. Craig Breslow told reporters SATURDAY.
Breslow also referred to the condition as “sublaxtion,” which is a “partial or incomplete dislocation,” according to the Journal of Chiropractic Humanities.

“We’re going in a platoon for short,” Cora said. “We go to the peloton second. …We will be creative.
He did not rule out the possibility of moving Ceddane Rafaela to shortstop. Rafaela played center to start the season, but he can also play in the middle.
