The Red Sox seem to pass in front of the post-match comments of Rafael Devers on Thursday.
The owner John Henry, the president of the team Sam Kennedy, the director of baseball Craig Breslow and the manager Alex Cora all met in person before the series of three Boston games against the Royals in Kansas City this weekend. Henry, Kennedy and Breslow have stolen for the conversation.
Breslow and Cora spoke to the media after the meeting and before Friday’s match.
“There have been conversations,” said Breslow (via Chris Cotillo de Masslive). “… It was actually John who spoke directly with Raffy. We had the impression that it was important on the basis of the situation that took place yesterday to come here and having an honest conversation on what we appreciate as an organization and what we believe is important for the Boston Red Sox. Devers notably called Breslow for asking the player to play the first goal in place of the injured Triston Casas. The former third goal player and the current designated striker does not seem eager to change position this season.
Nevertheless, Breslow explained that he appreciated being able to sit down with deverses to discuss the situation.

Similarly to Breslow, Cora moved away from the meeting all hands on the bridge with a positive perspective.
“It was a good conversation. He expressed his feelings. John did the same thing,” said Cora. “I think the most important thing here is that we are trying to do something big here. Obviously, there are changes in the list, situations that occur. You have to adapt.”
Cora has also said that Boston will continue to examine his first basic player options. He said Romy Gonzalez and Abraham Toro would play the job this weekend in Kansas City.
