Red Lobster is closing dozens of restaurants, including one on Long Island.

At least 48 restaurants have abruptly closed their doors across the country, according to an online auction company.

The restaurant now sells items like kitchen equipment and furniture.

The chain is considering filing for bankruptcy protection.

The closing Long Island restaurant is on Nesconset Highway in Stony Brook.
