Red Dead Redemption PC Port Seems Imminent As PlayStation Store Bizarrely Says It’s “Now On PC”

The long-awaited PC port of Red Dead Redemption seems imminent as the PlayStation Store has bizarrely claimed that it is “now on PC.”

That’s obviously not true, as Red Dead Redemption is still console-only despite launching in 2010, but the update to its official PlayStation description certainly suggests that things are happening behind the scenes. This comes after a data dig on developer Rockstar Games’ website in May 2024 also mentioned a PC port.

“Experience the epic Western adventures that defined a generation, now on PC for the first time,” reads the PlayStation Store page, as spotted by @Wario64 on X/Twitter. “The game also includes Undead Nightmare, the iconic horror story that transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into an apocalyptic fight for survival against a zombie horde.”

The article continues to mention other PC elements: “Featuring the full single-player experiences of both games, including the bonus content of the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption includes all of the upgrades from the 2023 console version as well as PC-specific enhancements, including support for increased resolutions and frame rates, multiple displays and other accessories, and spatial surround sound.”

The description goes on to clarify that this version of the game does not include multiplayer content, but PC fans likely won’t care and will just be happy to finally get their hands on the game as it approaches its 15th anniversary.

Rockstar has long neglected PC gamers, not even releasing Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC at the same time as consoles, but a year later. The same goes for Grand Theft Auto 6, which will likely be the biggest video game launch of all time, with no PC version announced.
