Red Bull launches a major change by introducing a whole new flavor to celebrate summer (but it’s only available in a supermarket)

Red Bull has launched a new flavor to celebrate summer – and is shaking up its packaging with a pink can.

Energy drink lovers in the UK can get their hands on Red Bull Pink Edition Forest Fruits – an infusion of forest fruits like raspberry and herbaceous notes of verbena.

Red Bull Pink Edition offers customers a totally different taste – and it’s completely sugar-free.

The berry colored can will launch on May 20, just in time for the bank holiday weekend and will cost you £1.55 for 250ml.

Described by Red Bull “as an explosion of flavor that is both refreshing and invigorating”, the limited-edition Red Bull Pink Edition will only be available at Tesco for the time being.

However, it will be rolled out nationally from July 2024 in various supermarkets.

Red Bull claims the Pink Edition is best served chilled, straight from the can, for a refreshing boost, or over ice.

For those looking to impress friends at outdoor dinners this summer, hosts can create an entire menu of fruity mocktails using the pink edition.

For the perfect sweet and sour combination, the Pink Paloma mixes non-alcoholic tequila, Red Bull Pink Edition and grapefruit, topped with a pinch of salt.

Spring Fizz, a mix of non-alcoholic gin, soda and Red Bull Pink Edition, is a refreshing summer drink; and the Pink Fruit Punch is ideal for that sweet tooth, combining non-alcoholic rum, apple juice and Red Bull Pink Edition.

It comes after scientists revealed that giving mice taurine – an ingredient added to energy drinks like Red Bull – helped them live three to four months longer.

Academics at Columbia University also claimed that taurine slows the aging process, helping rodents avoid age-related problems like weakening bones and muscle loss.

Further experiments, this time on humans, found that people with more taurine in their bodies tend to be healthier.

The study provides no evidence that taurine will improve human lifespan. But sharing their results in the prestigious journal Science, the team said they believed it had “potential”.
