Rebel Moon 2’s first trailer ties everything together

Never mind what you felt the first part of Zack Snyder Rebel Moon, chances are you’ll be curious about what happens next. Kora (Sofia Boutella) assembled a team of heroic warriors and brought them back to the Veldt. The evil Admiral Atticus (Ed Skrein) has a renewed goal. And everything seems to be turning into a confrontation between the armies of Atticus from the Mother World and Kora’s Heroes.

This will happen on April 19 when Snyder and Netflix launch Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver—and, in a surprise move, Snyder released the first trailer over Christmas. Check it out. Spoilers for part one follow. Obviously.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver | Official trailer | Netflix

There’s a lot to discuss and consider in this trailer. The role that Jimmy the robot may or may not play. The fact that we see flashbacks of certain characters. The return of the seemingly peaceful inhabitants of the Veldt, now trained for combat. And of course, that reunion at the end between Kora and Atticus. Why are they talking? Does he come down to try to demand surrender? What impact, if any, will a battle here have on what happens elsewhere in the galaxy, particularly with Kora’s “father”, Balisarius?

So many questions which, we hope, will be answered in the sequel which promises much more action than the original. Will it be better than the original? We hope. There’s certainly a lot of potential to bring back the storylines, characters, and moments left hanging in the original in a satisfying way here. We are doing everything we can to make this happen.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, starring Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae and Ray Fisher, arrives on Netflix April 19. You can watch Part One: A Child of Fire on Netflix NOW.
