Real Madrid to ‘refuse’ to pay £130m asking price for Jude Bellingham as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United offered boost in race for England star
Real Madrid’s efforts to sign Jude Bellingham may have hit a stumbling block due to Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
The teenager’s fellow admirers Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will be given a corresponding boost as the Premier League rivals pursue one of football’s hottest prospects.
Many big-name clubs have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old who moved to Borussia Dortmund for £25million following his meteoric rise at Birmingham City in 2020.
Real Madrid were one of the front-runners with the Spanish giants keen to secure the Bundesliga star.
Now, however, Los Blancos are said to ‘refuse’ to pay for their main target after Dortmund imposed a £130million price tag on him, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Given that Bellingham is nailed to feature alongside Declan Rice in midfield for England on the world stage at this winter’s World Cup, Dortmund are unlikely to move to want big money for their star midfielder.
It has been widely reported that Bellingham could leave his current employers this summer at a huge cost.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted he wants the player to stay with the German club but says he will have to give in to big offers.

With Real Madrid put off by Bellingham’s price tag, that of course leaves the door open for Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to swoop in for him.
Considering the Red Devils are set to lose a star, signing the Dortmund ace to their ranks wouldn’t come as a surprise.
Liverpool are also said to be keen, looking to freshen up their aging midfield.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also interested in the English youngster, with the understanding that they have been watching him since his time at Birmingham.
