Real Madrid paid an emotional tribute to the legend of the Marcelo club before their derby with Atletico Madrid on Saturday after the announcement of the Brazilian retirement.
His sons, Enzo and Liam, joined the legendary left back, appearing on a full Santiago Bernabeu before the starting whistle.
The star of England Jude Bellingham was also spotted by leading the standing ovation, while the Brazilian posed with a supervised galacticos jersey given by the veteran of Club Luka Modric.
Marcelo showed respect by losing in front of the 39 -year -old veteran after being teammates for ten successful seasons in the Madrid team.
The 26 -year -old Brazilian previously spent 15 breathtaking years in the capital of Spain, winning 25 incredible trophies, including five Champions League titles.
He entered the field for a few moments after the newcomer of Los Blancos, Kylian Mbappe, received the player award for January, during which he scored eight goals in nine games.

Marcelo was seen by posing for a photo with the whole team – including Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and David Alaba injured – later receiving cuddles of former teammate Lucas Vazquez and Dani Ceballos.
The Madrid icon made a total of 546 appearances, becoming the third foreign player with the most games for the club, behind Karim Benzema and Roberto Carlos.
In 2006, a young and inexperienced Marcelo joined the Spanish club in Fluminense, having previously played only 30 senior games.
However, he quickly obtained a regular start -up role in the team after Carlos’ departure from Fenerbahce in 2007.
One of his most memorable goals includes his love at first sight against Atletico Madrid during the 2013-2014 Champions League final in Lisbon, helping Los Blancos to raise his 10th European Cup.
However, Marcelo’s time as a starter in the team ended with the arrival of Ferland Mendy at Santiago Bernabeu in 2019, which was considered a more reliable option for the defense of Los Blancos.
He left as an icon in 2022 and will remain memories for his charismatic personality and elegant balloon control.
The rear left retired from football in his childhood club Fluminense – after another move from Olympiacos in March 2023 – making 68 appearances while scoring five goals.

In a video on social networks announcing his retirement in a video on social networks, Marcelo said: “At 18, Real Madrid came to knock on my door and I arrived here. Now I can proudly say that I am a real Madrileno.
’16 seasons, 25 titles, five champions leagues, one of the captains … and so many magical nights in the Bernabeu. What a trip! Madrid is a unique club.
“The return to Fluminense meant giving the club what they initially given me. Help them win three titles, including COPA Libertadores, and to leave an inheritance for the next generation with the Marcelo Viera stadium.
“My trip as a player ends here, but I still have so much to give football. Thank you for everything.
In addition, the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, added later: “Marcelo is one of the greatest left back in the history of Real Madrid and world football, and we have had the privilege of enjoying it since a long time.
“He is one of our greatest legends and Real Madrid is and will always be his house.
