After the success of season three of “Reacher”, the world of Jack Reacher is about to grow. The close friend of the hero, Frances Niagley (Maria Sten), obtains her own spin-off, called (you guessed it) “Neagley”.
Like Reacher, Niagley is based on the books of the British author Lee Child. She was a member of the 110th Unit of Special Investigations for the Military Police, which RECHODER led before leaving the armed forces.
Amazon announced the spin-off of “Neagley” in October 2024 and confirmed that Maria Sten led the series.
“When she learns that a beloved friend of her past was killed in a suspect accident, she becomes hell in hell.
“Using everything she learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 special investigators, Neagley puts on a dangerous path to discover a threatening evil,” said the show’s synopsis.
Addressing Forbes last month, Ritchson joked by saying that he could not confirm if he would appear in “Neagley”.
“It would make sense, but we cannot confirm that it would make sense. It makes sense in a world of hypotheses.
“As if it happened for a few episodes. But it could happen.”
Sten spoke to Business Insider of “Neagley” before the release of the last season of “Reacher”. Here’s what you need to know.
Recalling how Neagley has developed in “Reacher” since 2022, Sten said: “When we meet her for the first time, I think she is still somehow a wandering dog, out of the military and finding her way into the world. Then, entering season two, she has definitely found her way in the world, at least in her professional life.
“I think that season three is more, where we see her really established in her life in Chicago before she left, of course, to help her.”
Sten continued: “I think it’s a great way to put the character from:” Yes, I live in this world of accession and I am connected to him. “She presented herself for him, but also showed the world that yes, there is also a life outside of Rewier and she manages her own cases and does her own thing and also has her own problems, apart from helping the big guy!
“So, I think they have done a good thing to honor the book and honor what the fan is, but also honor Neagley’s contribution so far and send it alone.”

Amazon still develops the spin-off, which has no release date. Neagley has no dedicated books like Reacher, which may explain why it takes a while to develop.
But the co-showrunners Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton could adapt the scenarios of the five pounds “Jack Reacher” by Lee Child in which Niagley appears.
In an interview with Bi before the first in season three of “Reacher”, Child suggested that the show could make its debut at the end of 2025.
“They start to shoot very soon, in fact! And I think I saw the scenarios, I think it’s going to be excellent, just as good as” Reachère “, he really,” he said. “So, you know, with a little luck, the” Rewier “payment will dominate the year on Amazon takes the two ends.”
On February 25, Sten confirmed on Instagram that “Neagley” had started to film his first season. That day, Amazon appointed a handful of distribution members who had joined the series, although we know little about their characters.
The star of “Riverdale” Greyston Holt will play the detective Hudson Riley alongside Adeline Rudolph, who appeared in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and will play Renee.
The actor of “Mayor of Kingstown” Matthew del Negro will play Pierce Woodrow, while the actor of “Once upon a time in Hollywood” Damon Herriman will play Lawrence Cole. The newcomer Jasper Jones was also interpreted as Keno.
